The Ā Obverse
Designed by American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, the obverse shows Lady Liberty walking forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other.

The reverse, designed by Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) artist Jennie Norris, depicts an eagle portrait. Intricate details form the bald eagle's plumage and a striking, palpable gaze emits from the eyes.

The classic Walking Liberty design by featured on the coinās obverse (heads) has long been a collector favorite. It depicts Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Refreshed in 2025, the design now incorporates some of Weinmanās original details that were not previously possible. Inscriptions are āLIBERTY,ā ā2025,ā and āIN GOD WE TRUST.ā
A completely new reverse (tails) design was introduced in 2025. It features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are āUNITED STATES OF AMERICA,ā
